TITLE
Three-dimensional Finite Element Modeling of an Uterus Surgery

ABSTRACT
There is a growing interest in modelling surgery of soft tissues, especially with the development of complex surgical gestures. In this context, we have developed a software for predicting surgical operations in order to optimize them or to set up new ones. Our approach has been developed in order to be as accurate as possible, and thus, is based on a finite element method using constitutive equations suitable for describing large deformation of soft tissues. This paper deals with the simulation of a gynaecological surgical operation: the section of a fallopian tube.
