TITLE
Influence of Initial and Induced Hardening on the Formability in Sheet Metal Forming

ABSTRACT
Sheet metal components used in automotive industry require constant increasing of quality level that is expressed in terms of shape, accuracy, strength and in-use properties as resistance to vibrations, fatigue and crash. The paper focuses on a new methodology that is proposed to analyse the influence of initial hardening due to rolling and induced hardening due to subsequent sheet metal forming stages. The methodology is based on vibrometric tests and combined tensile tests to investigate the influence of initial or induced hardening on elastic coefficients. Then the influence of these variations on springback and necking occurrence are analyzed. The linear perturbations technique is used, with both a simple model to account variation of elastic modules or a more complex one based on the introduction of a coupled damage model. Results are given that illustrate the necessity to account variations of elastic properties.
